Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer Review

Maintaining a shiny car used to be too much of a work especially for weekend warriors like me. Back in the days you'd have to do a full car wash, dry it then find a shady spot to apply your traditional wax then buff after it hazes.

That basic procedure would take about 2 to 3 hours when you're doing it all by yourself and it gets harder when you don't have a shady spot as you'd be prone to having hard water marks or wax that is hard to buff off and sometimes cause more damage than good.

Meguiar's has been in the business long before I even owned a car and their products are one of the best out there. This holds true for their Ultimate Quik Detailer which is intended to be used between washes and in my case, for maintenance (since it's summer and I'm mostly dealing with dusts and bird poops).

Although I still wax my car, I don't need to do a full wash and dry to prep it especially when I'm only removing dusts before waxing. I simply apply Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer on my car and buff it off with a clean Microfiber towel and the car shine is instantly restored --- yes, "instantly" because unlike traditional waxes, this spray wax don't need haze time. As soon as you spray it on the car paint, you can immediately buff it off.

But that's not the only reason why I use this product. By applying Ultimate Quik Detailer when removing dusts and bird poop, I prevent scratching the paint with a dry towel (even if it's a Microfiber) because this product somewhat encapsulates the dusts or contaminants so they can easily and safely be removed with a Microfiber towel.

Bird poops are very acidic and very hard to remove but with a product like Ultimate Quik Detailer, just spray on to the poop and leave it for about 20 seconds and you can easily and safely remove the poop.

For poops that have been in your car for some time and worse, baked in the sun, you might need more application of the Ultimate Quik Detailer to take it off (this happens when I go the mall and park outside and when I'm about to leave, there's (hardened) poop in the car.

Now, don't get me wrong, waxes are still necessary because waxes offer longer lasting protection compared to spray waxes or detailer sprays. But having Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer in your car, you'll always have a tool to ensure your paint is always protected anytime, anywhere.
